On this course you will sharpen your bushcraft skills and learn about practical and useful survival skills that will prepare you in case of a winter outdoor emergency. Experience an amazing five day outdoor experience in a remote Yukon setting. Participants will focus on theory, outdoor awareness, northern bushcraft as well as being properly prepared, and the required skills to survive outdoors during the winter. We cover such concepts as improvising survival shelters, making survival fires, how to set basic snares, ice fishing, orientation and travel by snowshoe. Learn insider tricks and techniques to keep you alive, as well as a lot of practical bushcraft knowledge that can be applied to a wide variety of outdoor activities. We’ll put your new skills to use by building a survival shelter in which you’ll overnight as the ‘Arctic Survivor’.
